Thank you to Simon for sending these through. I am always amazed at how talented photographers are to be able to capture the detail, colour and shape of flowers, which is much harder than it looks. Lovely to see the final effect.

Church weddings

Churches are fantastic places to decorate with flowers and can help create the atmosphere for the rest of the wedding. Churches are often the first place the wedding party sees and you can be as elaborate or as simple as you want to create something that really shows your style.

Highlighting the aisle in the church is a simple way to decorate the church instantly turning it into a wedding venue.  Aisle flowers don’t always have to be hung on the pew ends, they can be placed on the floor for a more understated look. You can also use plants, ribbons as well as flowers.

Classic white wedding flowers

We loved receiving these photos and thank you’s from our lovely bride who got married at Belmont Hall.  We used all white flowers with some foliage to create a soft classic romantic style using old english roses, hydrangea, gypsophila and lisianthus.

Candlelight helps create a lovely romantic atmosphere and we used hurricane lamps with rings of flowers as centrepieces.

How stunning they all look!!!

Wedding cakes

Here are some of the many cakes we’ve also made this year, again so varied and lovely to add our wedding flowers to, to match with all the other flowers.

Fantastic Wedding Venue – The Plough at Lupton

This was our first wedding at The Plough at Lupton, what a fantastic place to get married!!! We so enjoyed working there, and the staff were incredible! Helpful, couldn’t be nicer and looked after us perfectly, allowing us to set up super early so we could be guests at the wedding too.

The bride and groom had asked for their long banqueting tables, which enabled us to create long foliage table runners in 3 types of Eucalyptus, Ruscus, Pistache, Lambs Ear, Senecio and Leucadendron with a small amount of white flower in.

Relaxed, rustic and full of foliage in soft muted greys and greens was the style the bride and groom wanted and it suited the beautiful dining room at The Plough really well.  They have a great set up there and the design and colours with the copper hanging lights, big wooden tables, beams and eclectic chair coverings all creates a fantastic stylish, comfortable feeling that oozes charm.

Well done The Plough for creating a perfect atmosphere for a relaxed wedding … oh yes and the food was fantastic!!  Can’t wait to do more weddings there!

White wedding bouquets

White wedding flowers are still the classic choice no matter what style or time of the year you are getting married, so here are a few of our favourites.

Screen Shot 2017-02-15 at 10.16.00

This monochrome bouquet is a perfect choice for a stylish city wedding, a simple yet elegant white bouquet with pops of blue/black from gorgeous anemones, texture from garden and spray roses, and pretty silver hues from silver brunia berries and velvety sift dusty milller leaves.

Screen Shot 2017-02-15 at 10.22.41We love this soft textured bouquet, perfect for a spin or summer wedding, in an informal setting. It’s romantic feel works beautifully with soft flowing dresses.  The lovely Scabious adds a delicate feel mixed with the Roses, Lisanthus and Ferns.

Screen Shot 2017-02-15 at 10.31.39This full, Rose and Ranunculus bouquet is perfect for a sophisticated garden wedding and suits the structured off the shoulder dress beautifully.  Soft silver tones with the Lambs Ears and varieties of Eucalyptus work to create tones of silver around the white old english Roses.

Screen Shot 2017-02-15 at 10.35.54We still love this simple yet very elegant Narcissi bouquet, that we created a few years ago The hint of glam is perfect for a Gastby-esque wedding, or without would make a lovely contemporary bouquet for a simple informal wedding.

We love white flowers, they can create a vast array of styles and suit many dresses and styles of wedding.  Simple, elegant, classic, with clean crisp lines or romantic, full and luxurious, whatever your style white flowers can create the perfect look for you.

Rock My Wedding feature

It’s always great seeing the delight on your brides face when you deliver her flowers and that moment that you know what you have created is exactly what the couple wanted is priceless.  We never get to see the whole event, so it’s fantastic to see your work and a very happy bride featured in one of the top wedding blogs Rock My Wedding and to see how the flowers have played a big part of the day.

Rock My Wedding featured one of our favourite venues Gossel Ridding a fabulous country house in the lake district and a wedding we worked on in the summer.

Gossel Ridding

Gossel Ridding

The feature shows the lovely couple Chloe and Micheal in their real weddings section and is full of wonderful photos from the very talented Melissa Beattie.

Chloe and Micheal wanted their flowers to match the pale blue bridesmaids dresses and to give a soft vintage pastel feel.  We used Old English Roses, hydrangea, lisianthus, spray roses and phlox to create  small headed textured look.

Chloe wanted her bouquet to be asymmetrical with soft trails of ribbon from the stems and used a small amount of eucalyptus to follow the vintage theme through.

Absolutely delighted that they had what looks like such a fantastic day and we wish them loads of brilliant things for the future.
