Silverholme Manor Wedding

We were so delighted to get these photos from our lovely bride and groom of their wedding day at Silverholme Manor a few weeks ago.  We never get to see the actual day, so it’s so great to see the happy couple together and married!!!

They also sent us this lovely thank you note ….

Hi Kerry

We just wanted to let you know how pleased we were with the flowers – you did such a fantastic job, they were absolutely beautiful and complimented our other decor really well.

I’ve attached a couple of pictures as promised!
Thanks again, x

We used a mix of pastel garden flowers to create a soft country garden look, perfect for a the vintage tea party that our couple had envisaged and suited Silverhome Manor perfectly on that lovely sunny day. What an incredible venue and a fantastic place to work!!

Our bride wanted her flowers to be reflected in her hairstyle too, so we provided a mix of flowers for the wonderful Katie Dale to use and to place within the hair.  The hair and makeup she provided was perfect, beautifully subtle and made our bride look so stunning. Another great job Katie!!

These beautiful photos are from Steven Barber who has done an amazing job, and we’re particularly grateful for the lovely flower photos!!! Thank you Steve

Our couple wanted their flowers to have a vintage country garden look using roses, lisianthus, gyp, chamelaucium etc.  We created a mix of large and small headed flowers, so that it was more styled than the hedgerow look, but they didn’t want anything too ‘weddingy’.  These soft vintage colours created some beautiful pastel shades which matched the bridesmaids dresses perfectly.

As always Steve’s photographs really capture the mood and feelings of the day and we love the way he photographs  our flowers.  Thanks Steve, hope to see you again soon!

Foliage bouquets

We have really enjoyed producing these mostly foliage bouquets and arrangements for our bride who wanted everything to reflect the lake district scenery that surrounded her house and the marquee they had by the lake shore at Ullswater.  We used a variety of ferns, mixed with seed pods and green flowers, such as green roses, hydrangea, viburnum and santini chrysanths.  These we put amongst the odd anemone and soft pink spray rose to lift the colours a little.

Along with the bouquets we created some flower headpieces for the flower girls and bridesmaids using the same flowers as the other arrangements.

Our bride wanted her long trestle tables for the marquee, filled with the same foliage based arrangements, so we created over 50m of table runners, designed to hold candles and be easily seen over so people could talk easily.  The beautiful marquee was from Bakerwood Marquees and looked stunning set in the lake disctrict and a great back drop for the foliage arrangements we created.
